AirMobility Inc. and ARC Aerosystems Ltd. Sign MoU to Expand AAM Solutions in Japan

Tokyo, 15 May 2025 – AirMobility Inc. (Japan) and ARC Aerosystems Ltd. (UK) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly accelerate the introduction of ARC’s unmanned and manned VTOL aircraft, including the Pegasus P3, into the Japanese and Asia-Pacific markets.

Electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft (eVTOL), are being developed in various countries around the world and are currently undergoing testing and certification processes, with operations expected to begin shortly after.

ARC already has a lineup of several aircraft, one of which, the Pegasus P3, is the first VTOL aircraft other than a helicopter to be certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This means it’s the first of its kind to receive full FAA certification, allowing it to be operated commercially in the US.

It has several advantages over other eVTOL models, particularly reduced power consumption, improved safety, and reduced maintenance costs. The two companies are exploring the utilization of the Pegasus P3 for emergency medical purposes in Japan.

The C-600 unmanned aerial vehicle is the largest in Europe, with a wingspan of over 8 meters (26 feet), a maximum payload of 100 kilograms (220 pounds), and a maximum range of 400 kilometers (250 miles). The C150 has a maximum payload of 20 kilograms (44 pounds) and a maximum range of 400 kilometers (250 miles).
